Whatever "it" may be, if it has persisted since ancient times and remains relevant today… there’s likely something significant about it.

This principle applies to medical models, dietary choices, psychological frameworks, ketchup on eggs, and the list goes on.

Honey has been used as both medicine and food for over 8,000 years, as depicted in Stone Age paintings and referenced in numerous ancient writings. Even the ancient Greeks and Romans utilized honey for its nutritional and medicinal properties.

Literally speaking, honey has endured the test of time and warrants our attention.

When most people think of honey, they imagine a bear-shaped bottle of viscous liquid that can be bought at a local convenience store. However, as I'll explain today, there’s much more to consider.

Let’s dive in.

What is Honey?

To truly appreciate honey, we must understand its production process.

Unsurprisingly, female bees do all the hard work during honey production. They collect nectar, build honeycombs, and process honey to its consumable form. Male bees, on the other hand, serve solely for reproduction. What a life they lead.
