The title of this post isn’t clickbait, rather unfortunately, it’s the utmost truth.
You should be familiar with the idea that it’s best to avoid plastic when it comes to food/drink storage and consumption.
This has been covered quite at length on HIB and I’m hoping most of you have consequently made the necessary behavioral changes.
However, as I’ve delved further into the “hidden chemical” conversation, I’d be lying if I said the news was sunshine and rainbows.
In fact, it’s quite the opposite and the ability to avoid them is becoming more difficult than ever.
At the beginning of 2024, the not-for-profit pro-customer organization Consumer Reports sparked an investigation purposed to uncover a deeper understanding of these chemicals and their prevalence in everyday items.
In this case, the chemicals specifically targeted were Bisphenols and Phthalates – man-made compounds that contribute to the durability and structure of plastic.
