Think of something you do every day that has become second nature to you; maybe it’s making your bed first thing in the morning, checking the weather before you leave the house, or laying out your attire for the next day of work before turning in for the night. Whatever it is, reflect on the minimum amount of effort it now takes to complete this task each day because of the sheer number of times you’ve repeated it. While uncomfortable (or distasteful) at first, our bodies are incredibly intelligent and quickly adapt to the positive “feeling states” certain actions produce. Initially many of these actions may seem like a nuisance but allow time for your body to understand the benefits they give and I’ll bet they’ll become a regular part of your routine.
